Learn sewing techniques and creative processes from Kate Towers and Holly Stalder. This 8 person workshop will focus on garment reconstruction and surface design. We will be sharing our ideals of slow fashion and sustainability by using recycled, vintage, and natural fabrics. We will provide a variety of t-shirts, button downs, and vintage pieces as well as extra materials to use for the class. You are also welcome to bring your own garments from home to work on. This is a beginner sewing class, no previous sewing experience necessary. Bringing your own sewing machine is helpful if you have one; otherwise we can provide you with one. We’ll have tea and light snacks, put a little music on - it’ll be fun and relaxed! Ages 14 and up.
